The Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G Lens is a really compact and stylish prime lens thats been engineered for the E-Mount full-frame format cameras, to provide a brilliant ultra-wide field of view, with impressive corner-to-corner resolution.
The optical design provides incredible lens performance all thanks to advanced XD Linear Motors that keeps up with the high-speed capabilities of todays most advanced camera bodies providing an incredible autofocus speed, precision and tracking; Focus hold buttons on the side of the lens barrel to provide a smooth operation; a lens construction that consists of a front lens element thats fluorine-coated to repel water and grime; and when out in inclement weather conditions, the lens will never let you down as its dust- and moisture-resistant.
Other features include two AA elements and three ED glasses for enhanced image resolution throughout the image area; special AR coating thats been applied to the optical design to eliminate flare and ghosting; and a bright f/1.8 aperture that features a 9-blade circular aperture to ensure smooth, creamy bokeh and natural-looking highlights.

Packed into the lens are Two AA (Advanced Aspherical) elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that are used to minimise sagittal flare, in order to accurately render scenes with a high degree of sharpness; and to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity. A Nano AR coating has been applied to the front lens element to reduce surface reflections, flare and ghosting for improved contrast and colour rendering.
